About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande på en avancerad nivå kunna:
- redogöra för, analysera och kritiskt reflektera kring hur kunskap om utvecklingspsykopatologi tillämpas av en yrkesverksam psykolog
- redogöra för, analysera och kritiskt reflektera kring konsekvenser som atypisk utveckling och avvikelse får för vardagsliv och utbildning
- analysera och kritiskt reflektera kring hur olika faktorer inverkar på kognitiva, socio-emotionella och neuropsykiatriska avvikelser i relation till utvecklingspsykologiska processer utifrån psykologens yrkesroll
- kritiskt reflektera kring och problematisera kring begreppen normalitet, avvikelse och diagnosticering utifrån psykologens yrkesroll
Content
I kursen tillämpas på en fördjupad nivå utvecklingspsykopatologi med utgångspunkt från normalitet och avvikelse i förhållande till psykologens yrkesroll. I kursen behandlas problematisering av begreppen normalitet och avvikelse samt analys av konsekvenser vid diagnosticering. Hur faktorer som ålder, genus, etnicitet, socio-ekonomiska förhållanden och kultur inverkar på avvikelser i relation till utvecklingspsykologiska processer berörs.
