About the course
Aim
After completing the course, the participants should be able to:
- describe the technical conditions for digital images, publication, generative AI, and audio and video recording,
- use tools for basic image processing, graphics, video production, generative AI, and layout and graphic design,
- perform an analysis and a written documentation of a given task related to digital media,
- reflect on ethical issues within digital media and AI,
- plan and implement projects by applying a project model as a tool in project work,
- apply the basics of report writing and do oral presentation in front of an audience according to the specified prerequisites.
Content
The course is based on the area blocks imaging, graphics, film/video, audio and publishing. We make an overview of digital media and AI-based techniques, experiment with common tools for digital media formats and look at how AI fits in and can be used creatively. The course is also part of the Swedish language programme where exercises in oral and written presentation are included. We look at a project model, the basics of report writing, as well as issues related to ethics, information search and information evaluation.
