About the course
Aim
After the course the student shall be able to:
- Define 3D objects and perform various transformations on them, including coordinate system transformations.
- Develop matrices for parallel and perspective projection, apply them, and clip parts of the projected object that lie outside the view window.
- Explain and apply different lighting models and shading methods to calculate light intensity during rendering.
- Describe various texture mapping models and determine texture coordinates for vertex points using these methods.
- Implement custom source code solutions for real-world problems within the field.
Content
Define 3D objects using triangles, 2D and 3D transformations, coordinate system transformations, rendering, parallel and perspective projection, clipping of projected objects outside the view window, hidden surfaces, local lighting models, various shading methods, texture mapping, and basic graphics programming.
