About the course
Aim
The course aims to provide students with basic theoretical and practical knowledge in human-computer interaction and user-centered system development of digital interactive user interfaces.
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- Analyze and evaluate interactive user interfaces based on theoretical principles and concepts in human-computer interaction such as usability and user experience, cognition, design principles, inclusive design.
- Use and account for established user-centered processes and tools for the development of interactive user interfaces, when planning, implementing and evaluating.
- Use and account for common API structures and practices when implementing interactive user interfaces.
- Use and reflect on the use of generative AI in interactive user interfaces and as part of processes when developing interactive user interfaces.
Content
Basic principles and concepts in the field of human-computer interaction and user-centered system development/design. Usability and user experience. Design processes, design principles and guidelines for the design and development of interactive user interfaces. Inclusive design. Methods for evaluating usability and user experience. Prototyping from sketch to digital prototypes, programming and implementation. Generative AI.
