About the course
Aim
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
L1: Set up connections in electrical circuits using Ohm's law and Kirchoff's laws
L2: Set up and solve systems of equations obtained from branch analysis, analysis with circulating currents and nodal analysis
L3: Derive two-pole equivalents (Thevenin, Norton)
L4: Calculate power, energy and make power adaptation
L5: Calculate AC circuits with pointer diagrams and complex ones method (stationary sinusoidal)
L6: Perform calculations on resonant circuits, perform phase compensation
L7: Understand how measurements with voltmeters and oscilloscopes are affected by curve shape and frequency of the signal.
L8: Be able to measure, analyze and simulate simple circuits.
Content
Direct Current Theory: Basic Laws. Equation systems for general networks and simplified solution methods for certain problems. Network simplifications.
