About the course

Aim

Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna

tillämpa kunskaper och färdigheter inom garnteknik och dess material, redskap och tekniker
redogöra för materialkunskap kopplat till fibrers uppbyggnad och egenskaper
tillämpa begrepp och kunskaper i färg-, form- och kompositionslära
tillämpa ett reflekterande förhållningssätt till slöjdens material, tekniker och arbetsprocesser
identifiera och använda centrala begrepp relaterade till slöjd och slöjdämnets styrdokument
redogöra för slöjdens historia och utveckling som skolämne i Sverige
planera, genomföra och skriftligt presentera en observationsstudie.

Content

Kursen innehåller praktiskt arbete med textila material och grundläggande hantverkstekniker i garntekniker samt övningar med tvådimensionell formgivning. Det praktiska arbetet kombineras med studier av material, redskap och tekniker. Studenten tränas i att utveckla och bearbeta sina idéer som ska tillämpas och värderas i genomförda slöjdarbeten. Kursen innehåller studier av slöjdämnets historia, verksamhet samt centrala begrepp för slöjdämnet. Studenten ska arbeta med teorier kring slöjdundervisning samt övar sig i att grundlägga ett didaktiskt och vetenskapligt förhållningssätt. I kursen ingår en observationsstudie där studenten ges tillfälle att reflektera över slöjdundervisning i grundskolan.
