About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande på en avancerad nivå kunna:
- kritiskt värdera och diskutera vetenskapsteoretiska inriktningar i relation till metodologiska ansatser för forskning i socialt arbete
- självständigt tillämpa och diskutera olika forskningsmetoder och metodologiska ansatser i relation till forskning inom socialt arbete
- kritiska granska kvaliteten i vetenskapliga texter med kvantitativ såväl som kvalitativ metodologi
Content
I kursen behandlas vetenskapsteori och forskningsdesign genom att värdera olika vetenskapsteoretiska perspektivs och forskningsmetoders betydelse för forskning i socialt arbete. Under kursen behandlas granskas olika metodologiska ansatser inom såväl kvalitativ som kvantitativ forskning i socialt arbete. Vidare tillämpas olika forskningsmetoder som diskuteras i relation till vetenskapsteoretiska inriktningar och forskningsansatser inom socialt arbete.
