About the course

Aim

Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:

visa sådan färdighet och förmåga som krävs för att utveckla och genomföra socialt arbete på olika nivåer i samhället i samarbete med de människor som berörs
använda, syntetisera, förklara och tillämpa teorier och kunskaper om livsvillkor för individer i socialt utsatta situationer
ur ett mångfaldsperspektiv kritiskt granska hur olika faktorer formar förutsättningar för deltagande och inklusion i samhället
ha fördjupad kunskap om och identifiera offentliga och privata verksamhetsfälts samt ideella organisationers insatser för individer och grupper i socialt utsatta situationer
demonstrera kunskap om samt ha förmåga att kritiskt granska och anpassa val av metoder och förhållningssätt i socialt arbete till olika situationer och olika individers levnadsvillkor
kritiskt granska egna värderingar och ställningstaganden samt identifiera de etiska dilemman som dessa kan ge upphov till i det sociala arbetets praktik.

Content

I kursen studeras individer och gruppers olika levnadsvillkor i skilda samhällskontexter och möjligheter till aktivt deltagande och inklusion i välfärdssamhället. Olika livsvillkor problematiseras och ställs i relation till samhällets insatser. Vidare studeras de sociala praktiker, offentliga såväl som privata och ideella organisationer som människor i socialt utsatta situationer kommer i kontakt med. Kursen fördjupar förståelsen av olika teoretiska perspektiv och metoder i socialt arbete.
