About the course

Aim

Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:

visa kunskap om kommunikationsteorier och kommunikationens betydelse i socialt arbete
visa färdighet och förmåga att använda kunskaper om kommunikationsteorier och kommunikationsmodeller i möte med individer i socialt utsatta situationer
visa grundläggande förmåga i professionellt förhållningssätt och att genomföra professionella samtal
visa färdighet och förmåga att reflektera kring betydelsen av bemötande och pröva det egna förhållningssättet vid kommunikation i socialt arbete
visa förmåga att reflektera kring vikten av etik och empati i socionomens olika möten.

Content

Kursen behandlar teorier och aktuell forskning om kommunikation och samtal. Verbal och icke verbal kommunikation samt sammanhangets betydelse problematiseras. Socionomens profession och yrkesroll diskuteras i relation till empatisk förmåga, värdegrund och social kontext. Den studerande tränar kommunikation i olika gruppövningar och rollspel. I reflekterande processer analyseras professionella samtal och bemötande utifrån olika perspektiv. Vidare behandlas betydelsen av att ge och ta emot återkoppling samt att förstå betydelsen av självkännedom och personlig professionell utveckling i socialt arbete.
