About the course
Aim
The aim of the course is to give knowledge in analysis of signals, signal models, and design of digital filters. The course will also give knowledge and skill in use of modern software tools within these areas. This means that students will be expected to be able to do the following after completing this course:
- Analyze signals with frequency models
- Analyze signals with parametric signal models
- Analyzing signals with adaptive models
- Model, construct and verify an adaptive filter
Content
Transforms of signals and systems, in particular the discrete Fourier transform.Spectral analysis. Filter design. Modelling of signals. Filter design using statistical theory, Wiener and Kalman filters. Methods and applications in adaptive filtering, for example noise cancelling.
