About the course
Aim
The course aims to consolidate a deeper and more practical understanding of all disciplines in aircraft design through the design and manufacturing of a functional subscale prototype. Furthermore, the course intends to convey a good insight into modern prototyping methods. After the course the student should be able to:
- Convert a concept study into a relevant demonstrator
- Show experience of working in a group with product development
- Carry out project planning and project follow-up
Content
The course continues on the aircraft design project that was initiated in TMAL06. In Prototype Realization, the aircraft concept is scaled down and a flying remote cotnrolled demonstrator is manufactured. This includes:
- Identification of critical features to be demonstrated
- Detailed CAD design
- Preparation of production data
- Aircraft assembly
- Systeminstallation
- Flight test
- Examiner
- David Lundström
- Scheduled hours
- 48 h
- Main field of study
- Flygteknik, Maskinteknik
