About the course
Aim
The main objective is for students to develop their understanding of how physical and digital materials (e.g., sensors, actuators, microcomputers) can be combined to design and prototype interactive objects. More specifically, the intended learning outcomes are as follows:
- establishing the foundation for a design repertoire of physical-digital objects;
- developing knowledge on technical and use-related principles of physical interaction;
- developing craft and tool skills in design for physical-digital objects;
Content
Physical and digital materials for physical interaction design (e.g., sensors, actuators, microcomputers), and how they are used in the design and prototyping of physical-digital objects.
