About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska studenten kunna:
- Redogöra för designerns olika roller i olika sammanhang och uppdrag.
- Exemplifiera vad ett designkoncept kan innebära.
- Genomföra en prototyptillverkning efter egen design och eget underlag
- Sammanställa en portfolio.
- Arbeta med skissprocess.
- Framställa en digital presentationshandling i bild och text.
- Reflektera över sitt eget förhållningssätt till design med avseende på etik, produktionsmetoder, hållbarhet och andra förutsättningar särskilt inom svensk möbelindustri.
- Reflektera över betydelsen av att kunna redogöra för, analysera och dokumentera en arbetsprocess skriftligt och muntligt.

Skissarbete, designkoncept, grupparbete. Söka information genom olika medier och metoder. Om möbeldesignerns roll och ansvar. Genomförandeprogram. Materialhantering. Val av olika tillverkningstekniker. Skalmodell/prototyp. Portfolio. Digitala verktyg för grafisk formgivning. Sammanställningsdokument.
