About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna
- söka och kritiskt granska aktuell forskning rörande barns utveckling och livsvillkor
- problematisera hur olika livsvillkor inverkar på barns kognitiva och emotionella utveckling
- diskutera konsekvenser av olika synsätt på barns utveckling och livsvillkor i relation till planering av förskoleverksamhet.
Content
I kursen belyses barns kognitiva och emotionella utveckling samt barns livsvillkor utifrån olika perspektiv, däribland utvecklingspsykologiska och barndomssociologiska. Exempelvis problematiseras ålder, etnicitet, genus och samhällsklass och dess betydelse för barns livsvillkor. I kursen diskuteras också begrepp som normalitet–avvikelse och exkludering–inkludering. Centralt i kursen är att med utgångspunkt i aktuell forskning och styrdokument reflektera kring hur omsorgs- och lärandesituationer kan påverkas av olika perspektiv på barn och barns livsvillkor. Kursens innehåll relateras genomgående till förskolans verksamhet och pedagogiska innehåll.
