About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs skall den studerande kunna
- redogöra för evolutionära processer och deras konsekvenser
- redogöra för hur evolutionen relaterar till samhället i stort
- utifrån läroplan och läroböcker utveckla kursmoment inom evolution anpassade till gymnasieskolans undervisning.
Content
Evolution omfattar mikroevolution och de evolutionära processerna: naturligt urval, migration, mutation och genetisk drift samt sexuell selektion. I samband med makroevolution behandlas artbildningsprocesser, fylogenetik och livets utveckling. Under kursen diskuteras också hur samhälleliga fenomen som religion (intelligent design) och politik (biologism) förhåller sig till. Lektionerna exemplifierar och övar för kursen centrala begrepp. Kursen övar även utveckling av kursmoment anpassade till verksamhetsområdet (gymnasieskola) samt granskning och betygssättning av ämnesrelaterade texter.
